My then GF, now wife was a packrat. A series of large tax refunds ($7-9K)convinced her of the error of her ways.

This donation value guide will help you track the values.

    Keep a log of
    1) the items you donate
    2) the purchase dates and prices (to the best that you can recall--yes 'Various' is an acceptable entry on Form 8283)
    3) what you could reasonably expect to get for them (that's the purpose of the value guide)

I have a savvy steady who made a spreadsheet of this (I'm working on that myself--she had a great idea).

    Remember:
    1) No more than $5K per organization per day.
    2) Always get a tax reciept
    3) The more detailed your log and descriptions, the better
    4) Give your results to your friendly tax guy--the good ones will know how to take it from there.

Yes, you can PM me with more personal, detailed questions--it's my job.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

Hmm..I think I just need to dump it and run (legally of course) That way I do not look bag, lol

Well!!!! 2 hours of cleaning. 15 bags for Goodwill. 5 of actual trash. 1 almost enpt room (hmm....I can out a kitten in there now)

I was not able to get rid of any kitty bags, but I got rid of a lot other non-feline ones.

Just have to be sure to actually donate on Sat!! hehehee wait til they see ME coming!!!!!

(fyi, 2 hr cleaning = 210 cals burned. Enough for another Mike's Hard Lime. I earned it)
