  • Can't Sleep...Angels'll Get Me

So due to going to see Iron Man 2 (awesomeness!!!), I missed BBC America's release of Time of Angels. I'm currently watching it on a stream.

I still haven't made it past Amy's first encounter with the one on the screen.

    I don't think I'm sleeping tonight....

Good episode...and I didn't sleep that night either.

(Edits cause she forgot the title of that particular episode.)

And got past that point. And Kabe is being completely unhelpful in calming me down.

Just watched it myself. I've said on other fora that I don't scare, and so don't anticipate any problems, but WHOA!

They were scary in the first one, and those were weak?!

And here I thought your thread title was a reference to the Doctor Who episodes from last week and the week before, featuring the return of the Weeping Angels.

EDIT: D'oh! I misread the title of the show... just realized it WAS referencing the Doctor Who episode "Time of Angels". I'm gonna go be stupid somewhere else, now...

Jack, it was referencing the Doctor Who episode. By the way, you say episodes, but here in the U.S. we have only seen part 1, with part 2 coming next week.

And while this is shaping up to be really good (no spoilers from those of you who have seen part 2 please), it just doesn't seem to have the same intensity and intangible umph of "Blink."

Oooh, I am not a regular Dr. Who watcher, but my husband introduced me to the series with the episode "Blink" last year. At 3 in the morning. After we hadn't slept for almost 24 hours already. I LOVE that episode and when I think about it, it still creeps me out/keeps me awake. We'll definitely have to watch Time of Angels and the second part to it!

I'm in the UK so seen the second part already. It scared me silly. Mind you, I was terrified of Blink and had to get the hubby to move the dressing gowns from the back of the bedroom door.

Finally finished it this morning. I couldn't watch the rest last night. And still didn't fall asleep until after 3am. Only for the Doctor will I scare myself silly....

Just finally watched them tonight. Alone. In my dorm. When all the other girls have gone home for the summer. And my RA is at her boy friend's. Therefore alone on my floor. I'm a fracking idiot. To top things off there's a stone angel in direct sight of my dorm window. I'm afraid to look and afraid not to...

I first watched "Silence in the Library" at midnight. By myself. In my room, in which every wall is either curtains or books, ie, MOVING SHADOWS ON BOOKS EVERYWHERE.

I slept with the lights on that night.

Mom had never seen "Blink", so we watched it right before part one on Saturday. I will never view the gargoyles/angels on the buildings around here (there's a deconsecrated-church-turned-condos on the corner that has an angel) the same way again.
