Mama is a life-long feral in a fairly busy industrial area. She's been resisting the efforts of at least one person to TNR her for years. There have been a few others back there that were not quite so wary, but this one's particularly canny.

Well, we got the trio home, picking up supplies on the way. They are chewing far too much for a bottle and when we put some kitty gooshy food out, they just went to town. The three of them took out a small can with only a little left over.

We've got them in a box that used to hold copy paper, and we're keeping the lid closed on them, for now. We plan to clean up the bathroom and let them roam while we're at work, however, so their world will be more than just a dark place to hide.

We think they're all young enough that they'll settle down once placed. All three are pretty much over being particularly scared of us, although they still go hissy when they see a hand nearby.

I'll get more pics of them in a bit.

For those that don't know, TNR = Trap, Neuter, Release, and The Notch Project is one group that does that.

At that apparent age, absolutely...you've still got a good bit of a window and they're young enough to decide very quickly that pettins and food are the life they want to live.

I'd take DOS if I didn't have 4 and a stray we feed already. Total sucker for the blue eyes...

I don't know how far you are willing to drive, but there's a shelter in Canoga Park called Angel Puss and Pooch. It sounds like what you are looking for. Those kitties are so cute!

We suggest getting the kitties to a vet ASAP; their eyes look a bit rheumy. A vet would also be able to tell you of rescues; they might also take them in (I know our local vet will take in strays that clients have found and try to place them).

The kittens are going to see the vet tomorrow. Our work schedules make weekday visits prohibitive.

They all three will move to the food when we put it down, but so far, DOS is the only one that will go past the edge of the plate to the actual food. Amiga tries to eat the edge of the plate, and Tux was nipping at the towel right before the edge of the plate.

That's beyond cute, I just went "D'aaawwwwww" in the middle of my office...

If I could, I would take tux in a heartbeat. But I can't.

We also have a case of the found kitties today at my work. A coworkers sister found a whole slew (4) today. We're going to take pictures and post her on my friends animal help facebook page.

I want the two little ones, oragney expecially.

Shame my cat would probably eat them.

Good luck on finding homes for the kittehs.

I'm currently trying to do the same for this sweetie. I want to keep her (she's been spayed and vaccinated), but she does NOT get along with my other cat (they fight every time they see one another, and it's been well over 2 months now).

I suspect she's one of those cats that just has to be the only pet in the household, probably because she was a stray used to fending for herself before I got her. She is actually very, very sweet and loves to cuddle...I think that someone dumped her because of a few things: a) she got pregnant (I have her kitten too; him I'm keeping because he *does* get along with my elder cat), b) she will get into the garbage can if it's not covered, and/or c) she will jump on the table/counter if food is left out instead of covered/put away.

                          Ooh, she's a pretty one.

Our elder wants to be an only pet. She and Widget (our last foundling) only don't fight when they're eating. Neither of them have issues with food agression.

The kittens are doing great. They, like our other cats, hate our bath mat. None of them will willingly set foot on it.

They're all eating canned food, and we need to set up a proper litter "box" for them to use.

They're nice and playful, too. I've got some new pics and video I will be uploading to Tinypic, and I'll link to them shortly.

I have taken video of the little buggers having at a bit of plant frond.

                            Enjoy!

It looks like DOS' eyes will be staying a nice shade of blue, while both Tux and Amiga's eyes seem to be shifting to green.

Yeah, almost assuredly a cat with those markings will stay blue eyed. They're all sooo adorable!
