There was a pizza place near us called Pizza Time (yeah, really cheesy name). We bought a pizza from them once. Yes, once.
It was the worst pizza we've ever had (we could only get cheese or pepperoni then). But at the time we were so glad to have it.
Why?
36 hours after hurricane went though here as a category 3 hurricane, stuck in the eye wall for 3 hours, they were the only place serving hot food. A day and a half of eating cold pasta and warm soda / water it was the most welcome pizza we've ever had.
I'm sure they got the generator and opened up so they could use up the perishables before they went bad but it was such a service to the community for them to be open and not charge us extra due to demand.
