I did something today that I don't think I've ever done. I renewed my tags for my truck's license plate early.

In Florida they technically expire on your birthday, but since the tags only list the month and year, you can generally go to the end of the month. Every year, I get the notice in the mail in May, and swear I am going to get it done early, before my June 8th birthday...and every year, I procrastinate/put it off/forget about it until late June/early July. Well, today I got a second reminder from the DMV, and for once opened it, read it, and realized they now have an online option. So about half an hour ago, I got online and renewed my tags, a full 17 days before my birthday....and the tags should be here before then, based on their "7 business days" estimate. Yay me!

Now if only I could put a stop to this whole silly 40th birthday crap, I'd be set.....
