  • From Idrinkarum - Computer Troubles

Just relaying a message from IDR...her computer has gone into the shop to be repaired due to an accident with a cup of coffee and child rum getting frustrated and banging on the keyboard when the computer was running slowly.

She will be back as soon as the computer is back from the shop...no need to worry folks

It's very tempting to throw some bacon at you, Lupo, but then I wouldn't get it back.

I think I'll shield my computer with bubble wrap - maybe that'll keep it safe.

This is one of the (many) reasons why I keep a few older PCs at my desk, fully running and operational. If the main one goes down I have some backups.

                    Hopefully she'll be back soon.

I have a netbook as a backup-and my comp blew up(yes pretty blue sparks, magic smoke and everything)a few months ago-Power supply went and took out motherboard, video card, processor, and hard drive-as in there were scorch marks and exploded capacators on EVERYTHING.
Honestly.... the image of that in my head made me go "AWESOME!"..... and then I remembered I am terribly strange.-Red dazes

I do have a few backups available. My old laptop is in the closet, and I have a desktop in the office that I can use in an emergency. Since my current laptop is only a few months old, it had better not give me any problems.

I don't have a backup of my own, but my dad has a few laptops that he likes to play around with (he uses one to beta test stuff) and I could always borrow back my old computer if I needed to.

I feel the love around here!

Thanks Steve for posting about me.

At this moment, I am posting from my cell phone.

I do have a desktop in my basement, but it's slower than frozen molasses in January in Alaska. Plus I have a tower that used to be my old desktop, but no monitor to go with it.

Laptop is about 15 months old. I guess I'm too rough with it.

Might be online tomorrow if the desktop likes me enough to work. *le sigh*
