  • Just lovely (girl issue rant)

My lovely monthly friend has visted me...a whole bleedping week before she should!

I'm on da pill, so I should be regulat-ish....but this happens every now and then.

So bloody annoying (pun intended). I guess it cool, I should be good by the hike (prolly Fri or Sat) and I'll be all good by my bday (next Wed!) But ugh!! I like things to work they way they should!

Odd thing, on the way to work today I was hoping that my week was this week...but that it was *supposed* to be the proper week. Meh, at least I know why I was starving all weekend and feeling bloated.

I wouldn't worry unless she starts visiting more than once per month, lasting longer than a week, or you start bleeding so profusely that you are going through a super plus tampon in an hour or less.

Lots of Midol and hot beverages. So sorry.

I am legally a Crone now, just the hot flash now and then.

I'm still a hot babe, only now it comes in flashes! *sigh*

Funny thing about the body, it sometimes listens to the brain... I've wanted mine to wait til after something - and it did, and I've wanted it to be here "now, b/c I want it done and over with before" something...

Being on during holidays or birthdays or other important events is never fun...I want it to wait for that to be over, or go away before it gets here...

I got my very first period on my birthday.

Sometimes I swear your body knows when something important is coming up or a situation where you need to wear a swimsuit or a skirt, and "woopsies time to menstruate!"

I blame that bitch from the commercials who just shows up with your monthly gift. I don't even get a period anymore and I want to punch her.

I always nick-name my periods as "Thursdays", since they are very irregular (due to my PCOS), but one thing's for sure: they almost always start on a Thursday so I'm guaranteed a crappy weekend.

It's not so much the actual period but the 2 weeks (yes, I said two) beforehand. Every other month for 2 weeks people think I'm pregnant. I'm sure afterwards they wonder where my "baby" went!

Wish mine would! I started two days before my wedding. That was NOT fun. Then, since it was day three the actual day of the wedding, I thought it would be a light day like day three usually is for me. NOPE! UGH!

Sorry your body is irritating you, Cat. All us girls are there with you!

I hope and hope that my montly gift comes before my vacation starts, so I don't have to worry about it when it *does* decide to come. I was lucky last year and the year before that, didn't have to worry.
Eh, one day I'll have something useful here. Until then, have a cookie or two.

I hate my monthly "friend". I wish she would just stay home. Every single time I go on the pill it's:

                          A) I get a period a week early.
                          B) I get a 2 week period.
                          C) All of the above.

Ha, I love all the replies (esp punching "mother nature," thanks blas!)

I've over the irritation, just hoping the guys don't decide to hike tomorrow....well, Willard I can do (just a 2 hr hike) but a 8-10 hour hike ain't fun ( I know from a few years ago)

Ugh, Katt, I do not envy you, that bites

And yes, I agree, better early than late.

eeep.....this does mean I have to pop out to the wall which is green today....

Ok, let's share hormones. I'm on a 6-7 week schedule right now, so if we average that out we get... 4 weeks each! Yay! (Actually one of the nice things about being off the pill is that I don't have periods that frequently, but when ovulation is a good thing, it's really annoying. I'm not sure what the heck we're going to do when we're trying to avoid kids, because I'm potentially fertile for most of that time.)
