You say that like it's an odd thing

So we were watching an episode of Planet Earth last night, and they showed some guanacos. They have really nice coats, so I wondered what yarn from their fur would be like. DH correctly comments that he was expecting me to say that. What I don't get is he sounded like it's not perfectly normal to wonder about that sort of thing.
