Dominated the Major Field Test for Chemistry

Every year, 187 colleges in America offer a field test for graduating chem majors. 4,711 people took it this year (the test is completely voluntary so that should weed out some of the lower end of the spectrum). I decided to take it since it can't hurt and 11 other people in my department took it (small chem department). In my department I finished 3rd of 12. I was surprised by that because we have some pretty smart people in my class.

Nationally, I finished in the 85th percentile! At least 79% of the test takers had a higher GPA than me. Probably closer to at least 85% but I can't tell for sure.

I just couldn't believe it. I kicked some serious butt!
