So whats in your bag?

I'm trying to clean out my bag, trying to decide what I should keep and what I really do not need to carry:

Pocket knife: ya never know when you need a knife I do have a smaller one I can use, but I rather like this one.

Mini- first aid kit

Phone

Small camera

Lighter (no idea why, I do not smoke)

Meds (in case I forget to take in morning)

lip balm

hand lotion

pen/notebook

oh yeah, and my wallet

and I carry my water bottle and/or coffee thermos

I like keeping some room just in case I buy something or need to carry food.

Ok, silly thread, but I have a feeling today will be slow at work and sill threads are enjoyable.

I've got my wallet, my phone, a pack of gum, lip balm, my inhaler, a lighter, emergency feminine supplies, my iPod, a spare cloth grocery bag, some trail mix, a small tub of lotion and an extra pair of sunglasses! And I still have room for my lunch for the day, my work clothes and a book if I'm going to work.

This is my purse, but I got it in the 'Danger' colour. It's big enough to hold EVERYTHING I need +2, but small enough that I don't feel like I'm carrying my life around with me. It's also sturdy, I've been using it for about four years now and it's just starting to fall apart.

When I clean out my purse of old receipts and junk the items I keep in my purse are;

wallet, pen, hand sanitizer, camera, work schedule, phone, lotion, gum, lip balm and whatever book I am currently reading.

Bag one: Damned if I remember. I used it when I worked at ShopRite and referred to it as the Bag of Wonders™.

Bag Two: Makeup and lots of it from when I gussied up my niece before prom. And an empty wallet.

Bag Three: Car title, car key and receipts for parts for said car.

Bag Four: Nothing. It's at Bella's apartment for now.

I really should go through them and consolidate.

All that in a rather small hobo-style purse. I do have bigger bags that I switch to if I'm going someplace where I'll need my camera or something else. This is probably the smallest purse I have.

I'm almost embarrassed to participate in this thread. I carry a purse that I use just to take into stores so that I don't have to carry my big bag around. In that purse I have wallet, cell phone, cigs & lighter, pen and a book.

My real bag is actually a tote or back pack - I change them out pretty often. Currently I'm using my back pack. It has:

ipod
digital camera
crochet project or two & a couple of stitch books and most of my hooks
books (at least 2)
puzzle book
netbook
bag w/ all my cords/plug-ins
Avon sales stuff (order book, a catalog, a few samples)
misc. papers I can't live without (varies day to day)
a water bottle
another bag w/ meds - never fails, I need them if I don't have them
extra cigs & lighters
stuff to pull my hair back with
notebook/pen
munchies - currently beef jerky & animal crackers

That's just the everyday stuff. I'll also cram in anything I need for that day.

I have a fear of being stuck somewhere without stuff I "need". Thank goodness I don't wear makeup, tho I used to carry an overnight bag in my car, just in case, but I haven't needed that since I got married. Let's not go into the stuff I keep in the van!!

I have a small purse that I am using at the present time..although I do have several bigger ones. In my purse I have:

In the fall when I go back to class I will use a laptop bag without the laptop..lol in that bag I have:

huge pouch with many pens and pencils (I am a pen and penicl freak..seriously, every semester I buy at least twenty or thirty new pens and pencils because they look pretty, which means I have hundreds of pens and it takes me awhile to choose which one I will write with..silly I know)
money ( in the side pocket for soda or snacks on campus)

Wow, I didn't realise I could fit that much stuff in that bag...

I've since had to change bags because I got an Organiser that doubles as my wallet, and I can't zip up the bag of tricks when it is in there (even if nothing else was in there). So now I have another bag, which I haven't transferred everything to yet, but so far,
