So i went to see Shrek forever after and the boy who collected my ticket was a dead ringer for Taylor whats his name who play Jakob in the Twilight series and i told him so and we shared a nice laugh over him wanting to beat Twilights fan with an oar to keep them away from them.

But then i felt bad because i was joking with him about being really native-american looking. and i realize its because of this event about a month or so ago.

Mods i apologize about talking about politics and its just to tell a quick story not to debate a law. Before i tell the story i want to say one thing.

So when i have the 'it 3 am i feel jacked up but haven't had sugar in three days but i still can't sleep' insomnia i play games on pogo.
My favorite is monopoly.

So i hop into a room one night to play for an hour or so and wear myself out.
I am in the room 10 minutes, playing a great game i dont want to give up, when one of the player im in the room with check my (really my mom's) profile and starts grilling me on the new Arizona anti-illegal immigration law.

Now i want just want to play the game so i try to get her off me. But she wont give up. I say i dont think the law is a bad idea but there nothing that can be done until its in force and the feds decide its illegal if they do decide that.
This was a bad idea.
This made her go on and on and on about how she works with people trying to flee death squads and how everyone in Arizona deserves to die.

Now at this time I stop, look at my net worth, sigh because its 15mil higher than hers but i can't declare myself the winner only someone else can and i dont want to lose this win. So i take a deep breath. Think. and Smile evilly... to myself.

I then kick into a total 25 minute lecture on the spread of diseases, the importance of documentation of international traveler as well as monitoring and how i dont care about legal or illegal but if they are risking my life the deserve to be arrested.
Every time she tried to steer the convo back to an acquirement she thought she could win i would say 'Well if a terrorist released small poxs in France (i refused to mexico the whole time) this week and someone decided to illegal enter another country like brazil before its caught they could potentiality kills hundreds, thousands or even millions because they didn't want to follow the proper channels.

So at the 25 minute mark she gave up, realized she couldnt get my to join her crusade and went back to the game.

I beat her 3 times (what she sucked i was having fun) but ever sense ive felt like an awful person.
I even made a stupid books are banned in Iran joke and felt so bad that i had to immediately ask my mom to make sure that i wasn't just being rude.

I won a small personal battle but lost a war.

That sucks that u cant even enjoy a game without interruption. Maybe just ignore the spechuls next time. Or block em? Im not sure if thats an option on pogo but it should be.

Look. Everyone is going to have opinions. Especally about that one. Both my crush and I are on opposite sides on that one, but I still respect her and really like her.


My only advice, don't let it bother you. You know your not racist. You know that some people may be trying to get away from death squads and all that, and likely would conceed on that maybe in emergencies like that, it be ok to get here first before channels.


In the end, the only person you need to stand up to, is yourself and what you belive. To hell with others. *
