I just had one here too! It wasn't hard shaking but it still freaked me the hell out!

Wow! That thing had a large range. Of course, we all thought it was the construction next door. It's not good that I thought "huh, I wonder if this is an earthquake" when we were all staring out the windows at the site, and did nothing to ensure that I was in a better position. (Seriously, what do you do when you're in a building that you know was built past code, and on the third floor?)

And since I got the above from my sister on Twitter, I fell I must include http://xkcd.com/723/

San Andreas is in California. Other side of the country. NY/Ontario border is the east coast.

A friend of mine JUST turned in his dissertation. He's claiming the earthquake was his fault. Because his dissertation was SO POWERFUL it made the earth move.

              Yes, he's been gibbs-slapped.

It would be http://bit.ly/deDdsk, the one for Ontario/Quebec, this was probably all the same one.

                    Earthquake virgins. :-)

I used to love them when i lived in CA. But then again, I never got hurt or had much damage.

I worked by Universal Studios in Hollywood, CA when the Northridge Quake happened. The aftershocks would send the tourists into a screaming panic for the exit, not realizing they were leaving a wood, metal and plaster building to stand under a GLASS covering on the patio.

It scared the SHIT out of me!!!! Our whole building was temporarily evacuated and we were all standing there shaking.

Now we're having renovations done on the floor above us, and every time they drop something or drill or hammer, it's scaring the crap out of me all over again. I think I need to go home and lie down LOL

(okay, let's face it, I need a drink).

5.7 at the epicentre in Val-des-Bois, Quebec. 5.5 here in Ottawa!

Edit: Some reports are saying it was 5.5

Yeah, we definitely felt it here in Cleveland, Oh.

One of my coworkers blamed it on the US advancing in the World Cup....
