Y'all are welcome anytime over here, although it'll have to be at least after the 11th. This weekend, some friends of ours are coming into town for the 4th. I'm making homemade lasagna, salad with homemade dressing, toasted garlic bread, homemade chocolate biscotti, and homemade pear tart. They're spending the night, so of course I'm also doing breakfast: Homemade creme brulee French toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon!

Next weekend (weekend of the 9th-11th) I'm vending at San Japan, an anime convention here in San Antonio (not vending food, unfortunately.) I'm crazy-busy getting ready for it, so I'm already strapped for time, especially with our friends coming this weekend. I just hope I can be ready by next Friday!

Erm...I can't...no transpo. and no money for transpo, place to stay, etc.

This is generally why I don't go out much. Mostly because a) no real friends in Houston b) the friends I do have have all moved out of Houston or live too far away/work hours different than mine which mean we can't get together, c) whenever I do get invites, it's a provide your own way there and back kind of thing, which I can't do. Occasionally I've been asked if I wanted to join get togethers, but when I mention METRO as my only means of transpo, offers are rescinded cuz no one wants the hassle of driving me home.

I have a crappy car that I don't trust on long trips but with enough advanced planning (to steal Fiance's car) or if it's somewhere in the Houston area, I can go. I'll even give people rides if they don't mind my crappy car.
