So, for those of you in the US, any exciting plans for the holiday? (I think I heard it's a holiday weekend in Canada as well.)

I'm going to see Blake Shelton in concert then heading to the lake with some friends for 3 days. Swimming, eating, lazing around....my idea of a perfect weekend.

Either working on my parents roof or trying to clean our house. And by clean I mean get rid of everything the dang gnomes have brought into it. I don't remember getting half of this stuff. Also keep the neighbors from blowing up our yard.

      And watch soccer.

I was going to do something outside, like kayaking or hiking, but it's apparently going to rain all weekend. Now I'm trying to figure out some alternate plans.

Watching fireworks, probably! The big Macy's one is here, so I'm going to figure out a good place in the city to watch from and take some friends and a picnic.

Where I grew up, I could see fireworks from the hammock in the back yard, so that's the one tradition that's stuck with me.

Spending the weekend with my bf in RI We can see fire works from about 6 different towns....no crowds!

Walking on the beach, playing in low tide ( I don't swim much, but I love lookin' for critters in low tide)

            And of course, watching soccer

Working in the morning, then either going to Belegarth practice with the very few people who show up or having a cook out, most likely with my mom, sister, my mom's dumbass boyfriend, and his demon child. More likely than not, his stupid friends will show up to mooch. Hopefully, I can do Belegarth instead.

Heading out of town someplace on the 3rd. Don't know where yet.

I have that entire weekend off. Probably won't get to see any fireworks since I will likely have to be at work early Monday morning. Not that I wanted to anyway.

Nothing exciting. The Department is putting on a show that I don't even really want to go to, but I feel obligated and I like the professor who's directing. The rest of the weekend I'll probably play WoW and wish I was with my boyfriend.

It looks like we will be going over to the boy's parents' place for a bit and then maybe hanging out with some friends at our place later. I'd kind of rather just hang with friends or have his family come to our place but they have a big yard, a pool, and a grill, plus his nana is in town for a little bit and I really do want to see her before she leaves and I don't know when else I would be able to see her.

Hitting the Jersey shore w/ the family. Heading over there on the 2nd, celebrating a family member's birthday which falls on the 4th, enjoying the town's fireworks over the beach, watching the TiVo'd NYC fireworks after, then returning home on or about the 5th.
