I was recently able to transfer my old pics from floppy to a flash drive recently so I could have all my old stuff on my laptop . . . and am in the process of trying to readjust sizing, since all the older stuff was for the old 800 x 640 resolution.

Some of the files I'd almost forgotten I'd had . . .it's all good though. I'm just glad I was able to save a lot of my fanfic stories that I'd started on, wallpapers and sound files.

So far I've gotten one to turn out nicely . . . so nice in fact that I decided to leave it up as my current desktop. *drooling into keyboard*

I should totally do that. I have a TON of pics that I have on floppy disks and nowhere else due to various crashes and the purchase of new computers over the years.

I spent less than $15 at Target last month for a 4GB flash drive (one that I can put on my keychain) and that was money well spent IMO.

I have now trashed the floppies after transferring everything that I wanted to keep and erasing the disks, and reformatting the drive about 3 times now on the old desktop.

The desktops will both be going to a friend of a friend soon as I can get them picked up and refurbished and given to someone else. And it'll be that much less I have to move out of the office later this summer when we do finally find someone to come in and remodel, so it'll all work out for everyone.
