Hey everyone, I just got some awesome news. I'm going to visit a friend in Santa Ana, California.
I've known her for about 9 years online (since she was 12 and I was 15), and we've never met in real life. We've been going back and forth about a visit for a few years now, since I was legal. It's been canceled a few times as well for financial reasons.
Plus now I have a full time job with actual vacation hours, so I can finally afford to go. Plus she has some extra cash (her parent's pension), so she purchased a ticket for me. I feel bad, but she insisted. So basically I'll be paying for food and whatever else we do, so I couldn't pass it up. I'll be heading there at the end of September.
I'm so excited! I haven't gone anywhere since about 2005 (took a 16-hour bus trip to Michigan), and I've hardly ever been on vacation my entire life. I've never been on a plane.
