  • After 10 years....

I picked up my cello again. I used to play in middle school and apparently I was pretty good. Poor cello is pretty beat up, but she still sounds fantastic. Unfortunately, I can't find any of my old music. Now I've got to remember how to play.

Sounds like me, except I have the opposite problem. I have my music, but no cello.

      Good for you!

Alas, I can only play the stereo.

I took three years of band in middle school. I played the clarinet and the baritone tc. I can't read music.
Okay, I can read the notes after a fashion, but I cannot read and play at the same time.

I was the only one in the orchestra who actually could read the music. I played piano for several years and then started in the orchestra on the violin. I decided around winter break that I wanted to switch. My orchestra teacher didn't want me to, but I talked her into it since I had a cello of my own (well, my dad did anyway) and I could already read bass cleff.

I don't think she regretted the switch.

OMG I'm so jealous! I played violin when I was younger, and I've always wanted to learn cello!
