  • Any beaders here?

I'm interested in being a bead buyer for those of you who do beading. I can find one hell of a lot of beads in this city alone, plus making trips to various other bead-producing cities. I love the idea of being an independent agent, and of helping people to get hard-to-find goodies!

    Just let me know.

I'm just starting beading, but I might be interested. Where exactly are you? What kind of setup are you talking about? Are there local businesses or what?

I'm in the Czech Republic, famous for its beads. What I can do is, take requests from people and see what I can find here. I'd work on a commission basis, with the buyer paying shipping. Shipping is cheap cheap cheap, and of course, beads are very lightweight. I've seen some very interesting beads, such as six different types of skulls at a local store.

I'm interested. How do you intend to set up exchange of funds? etc?

I've started a blog, and when I get enough interested parties, I'll set up a PayPal account, so the funds can be sent straight to me. I may also sell on eBay. Plus, on the blog, people can send their requests and I can see what I can find here. And there are a LOT of beads available here!

My aunt was more into beading than I am, but its a hobby I still enjoy. I know a little bit about the beads from your area. The only ones I've seen were glass and in solid colors in tear drop and a flat oval shape. I've used both as a kind of weight at the bottom of my venitian ornaments to get them to hang right. I admit to open curiosity as to what is available. The "ooh shiney" factor if you will.

Send me a pm with the blog details and I'll check it out.

Ditto. I sell jewelry off and on, and I use a lot of beads.

Me too please. I will eventually get into beading, although I do use a lot now for hair accessories and other little trinkets I make. My SIL is a HUGE beader and makes some seriously awesome jewelry and I imagine would love to get in on something like this.

Photos are up! I bought some beads today, just to give an idea of the types of things I can find here. It's only a very small sample; enough, I hope, to whet your appetites.

I should also mention, the prices given are in Czech crowns (CZK). This is the total price, before shipping. PayPal has a good way of sorting out the financial conversions.

Do you want more photos? I haven't had any responses to the site yet.
