Yes. Almost lost littlest brother over it.

I watched the Flintstones reruns, but wasn't around yet to see black and white commercials. So they played these cigarette commercials during cartoons? Can you imagine the outrage if they did that now?

On that note...

Do you remember when they had cigarette vending machines?

they had the Winston commercials up until the time Pebbles was born.

heck most of the sit-coms until the mid 80's had people who smoked.

as for cigarette vending machines they had those in use in some areas up until the early or mid 90's

I'm a Brit so I don't remember much of the purely American crazes, I'm trying to think of some retro thing which may have been international.(We did have the Banana Splits on TV here as well)
