Meh, with my luck she'll still show up with flowers.

You are going to be miserable for forever if you don't put a stop to this behavior.

This is it. She's coming to the wedding for Fiance's sake, but I refuse to have any more interaction with her.

He's in kind of a weird spot with his dad slowly dying, which I think prompted the effort to reach out to her again. Now we're both remembering why he stopped talking to her for so long. I WILL put my foot down after the wedding.

Please do, before she ends up living at your place for eight months slowly driving you crazy to the point you snap and get carted to jail for the weekend.

Not that I know how that goes.

It's really hard (for some people, anyway) to sever contact with family members, especially family members who you've known for years and who raised you (ie, parents.) I wanted, for a long long time, to never speak to my mother again because of some things she said/did to me. I was never able to completely sever my relationship with her. On one hand, I'm glad I didn't. On the other, there's a reason I moved 1500 miles away from her. We have a much better relationship now, when we have much less contact with each other.

I just want to second what Maggie said! There are some people that I can have a good relationship with, because of the fact that they're halfway across the country. Boundaries are a wonderful thing, especially ones that I'm not in charge of enforcing.
