Should I be texting you, my friend?
You can if you want, but the comment about my phone giving me no love was referring to the lack of calls about the room, and the lack of callbacks from the people who have been calling about the room, who stood me up when they were supposed to come look at it.

So if you know someone who is looking to rent a room in Key West, by all means, text me. If not, text me if/when you feel like it.

          Bless your kind heart.

I'll randomly text you at some point. If you're busy, no need to text back right away and all that good stuff.

            The End....for now.

            Yay. Yay. And yay.

Our long national nightma.....er, uh......my long residential nightmare is over!

I once again have two roommates instead of just one. Since I live in a 3 bedroom apartment, this is a very good thing.

Stork moved in today. He was referred by a friend of mine who I have known over a decade, so that is a very good reference. He had cash on hand for the first month's rent, and due to his reference, I agreed that he could have his deposit to me within the first month. My gut tells me he'll have it for me within the week.

No drugs. No drama. No problems. He seems thrilled with the place and his room, especially the large walk-in closet which is almost unheard of in Key West, where space is a premium. We both share a love of cooking and a disdain for all things microwaved. He is in his late 30's, seems like a decent guy, and as I said, was referred by a longtime friend, for whom he works. Said friend had nothing but great things to say about him, too.

So, at least for now, this story has come to an end. I really, really hope that the next time I have a story about roommates and moving and shit, it's about me moving back to Phoenix, and not more of this lame old bullshit. Cause frankly, I'm over it!

            Thank you, and good night!

So, you willing to put up with a husband&wife that play a lot of video games, sew like crazy people, and tend to take their lizard for walksies? Because we are totally available to be someone's roommates.

Sorry you have to put up with all the madness though

Where were y'all when I was pulling my hair out looking for a roommate? Y'all could have been living in Key West!

And where don't they need nurses? (But don't ask me for specifics about the nurse job market here....I'm a bartender. I have no freakin' clue!)

Well, we were sitting up here in West Michigan, not really doing anything...

Congrats on the new roommate though!
