  • Weaver's lament

So I weave in addition to knitting and the far too many other fiber arts I play with. I just moved. I got out my cute little Inkle loom, got it all warped for card weaving, the first time ever I was going to weave a pattern I'd made. I went to get my shuttle to load it with yarn to actually weave.

    It wasn't there.

I opened the bag it was in. Not there. I looked in the bag that bag had been in. No luck. I looked in my craft basket. Nada.

Now I'm sad. My loom is all dressed up with no where to go.

(For those of you with no clue what I'm talking about imagine you've got a delicious meal that you've made the recipe for all by yourself. you go to cook it and realize your pan got lost in the move and now you can't cook until you find your old pan or get a new one.)
Me to a friend: I know I'm crazy, you know I'm crazy, the zombies at the end of the world will know I'm crazy. Thus not eating my brain for fear of ingesting the crazy. It's my survival plan.

Dang, that sucks. Sorry for your loss.
I lost my favorite crochet hook once, it fell out of my purse at work. I freaked out and actually cried. Found it the next day where I put my purse, and ran around the kitchen shouting "FOUND IT FOUND IT" I'm fairly sure people thought I was going to stab someone, I was so excited.
Oh wook at teh widdle babeh dwaggin! How cyuuute babeh dwag-AAAAAAAUUUGGGHHHH! *nom*

      You have an inkle loom?

      1. Would you rather be right, or get the result you want?
      2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
      3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
      4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.

I was going to make myself one once, I had good instructions. I think I might have actually assembled it. I just never got around to using it (largely because of lack of proper yarn to weave at the time).
