I found the cards I want at the Red Bullseye. But I'm too cheap to pay for shipping and I couldn't find them in the actual store last week... I'm surprised that I couldn't find christmas crap already out there!
Costco has full lit christmas trees up already..

if I can find proper cards that are "Whiskey-esque" I might sign up.

edit: is there a way to sign up to see the list, but not be listed on it?

There are several automated posts right here in this thread that get sent out every little while. They contain an update of the list of names as of that date.

I believe this is the most recent:

      • um...I have a SLIGHT problem this year...

with everything going on here, and with the way cards showed up last year, I may be in the middle of moving to another place due to the renovations going on.

I'm probably just gonna get a PO box rather then deal with the hassle of moving addresses for a short time....but what should I do inreguards to where people send me cards?

I know of one option that can be exercised before Oct 24. Considering that today's the 20th, you'll need to move quickly: Get the new address. Opt out of the list, and then sign up again.

So for the post offices marking the envelopes with extras for more postage, does paper ornaments that mostly squish down but not completely set them off, and how do I check for that if I'm in a different country, or do I just send them with extra postage to be safe?
I believe the rates depend on the source country, not the destination.

Sending from the US, I believe, means that anything under 1/4 inch thick will NOT have extra fees added on. Keep in mind that larger cards may cost more simply due to their "horizontal" dimensions, too.

First Class From the US (*** means my comments):

"Normal Envelope" (44 cents base price)

                  First-Class letter dimensions:

                  Rectangular
At least 3-1/2 inches high X 5 inches long X .007 inch thick
No more than 6-1/8 inches high X 11-1/2 inches long X 1/4 inch thick
                  Maximum weight is 3.5 ounces
Letters that are considered nonmachinable are subject to a surcharge.
Length is the dimension parallel to the address.

***Nonmachinable: Basically, any mailpiece what has an irregular shape, or which has bits hanging off of it that could clog or damage a high-speed sorting machine. (e.g.: an envelope seal that has a tassle attached to it)
***Length: That applies to most stuff sent from the US, but not all

                  "Large Envelope"

                  First-Class large envelope dimensions:

Large envelopes exceed any one of the maximum dimensions of a letter.
The maximum size of a large envelope is 12 inches high by 15 inches long by 3/4 inches thick.
Mail pieces that exceed the maximum dimensions for a large envelope are charged parcel prices.

Got my cards at the Red Bullseye today. Two different kinds 'cause I couldn't make up my mind. I THINK they'll be ok size-wise for postage because I'm pretty sure they're standard card size, but I'll have to check.
