I am watching the original version of "The Fly" I'm not sure why its on TV at 5pm as its meant to be a horror movie.I think everyone in the world has seen a version of this movie except me.

I have never seen Citizen Kane or David Copperfield but I have seen the others and they are deserving of being called classics, especially Its A Wonderful Life.(The original black and white version).Dr Zhivago I have seen numerous times, (the original) it is an epic love story and well worth seeing for the beautiful scenery.

I bought It's a Wonderful Life for my mom for Christmas one year (on VHS...I was probably in HS or college); when I went to pay for it the cashier said "You know this is in black and white, right?"
Uh, yeah, thanks...

There are lots of classic and/or iconic movies I have never seen. Off the top of my head:
The Fly
Citizen Kane
David Copperfield
Doctor Zhivago
It's A Wonderful Life
Gone With the Wind
Any of the Jurassic Park movies
Goonies
Stand By Me
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?
Shane
The Dirty Dozen
Fantasia
Star Trek: The Movie (though I have seen many of the resulting sequels)
Ocean's Eleven (original version)
The Godfather (any of them)
Apocalypse: Now
There are several such movies I have only seen rather recently, such as Taxi Driver, The French Connection, In Cold Blood, The Manchurian Candidate (original version) and Dr. Strangelove, among others.
I haven't seen any of the Harry Potter or Twilight movies, but I don't think they are really iconic so much as popular in our time.
Of all of the above, the one I most want to see is The Godfather, and its sequels. Preferably with lots of pasta and red wine. I also really want to see Apocalypse: Now, especially since the one time I sat down to watch it at home, a little while into it the power went out. That would have been about 1987-1988, as I was still living at home with the parents, and I remember which house and town that was in.

Well, that was all rather nasty, particularly the ending.
Gone With the Wind - haven't seen it either, don't particularly want to either
Any of the Jurassic Park movies - they are all fun
Goonies - this is a classic?
Stand By Me - saw it years ago don't remember it
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?

I have not seen any of the others you mention, but I don't think I would enjoy them anyway.Apart from Guess Whose Coming To Dinner, which if I recall correctly,is a social commentary.

Next question... How many classic movies have you seen, but have not seen the full, un-cut version?
I was in Australia several years ago. One of the Dirty Harry movies was on. A scene came on that I had never seen before. I never saw it in the theater. Only on broadcast, US cencored TV. I have never seen the entire movie.
Some people say it is, but I did refer to the movies I've never seen as "classic or iconic." Whatever you may think of Goonies (and I have no opinion, having never seen it), from the way people talk about it, I would have to say it IS iconic.
Gone With the Wind - haven't seen it either, don't particularly want to either
Stand By Me - saw it years ago don't remember it
That's it. Come to WI. We'll have a mini-marathon.
