So okay, you guys know I quilt. Well last year I started entering some quilting competitions, you know, just to see how I do.
So I entered a couple of quilts in the State Fair last year. It's a huge statewide competition. I was thrilled to place 3rd in one division and 11th in another.
Of course my family doesn't care. I'm not the kind of person to rub it in people's faces or anything, it was more of a "Hey I don't suck at quilting!" kinda thing.
So anyways I entered 5 quilts this year. Had the free time today to head down to the fairgrounds and see how I did.
2 quilts placed 9th, 2 placed 5th and one placed 3rd. Not bad for a huge event, and I can still call myself "Award winning" quilter.
Family is still jealous/doesn't care/whatever, so I'd thought I'd share my happy with you guys.

Might we see some pictures of these quilts?
). The reason I want one is because she's an award winning quilter (she was actually asked to stop entering her quilts so that other people would have a chance to win) and she's in her 80s now. I want to be able to show my children her work and tell them that their great-grandma made it.
