  • Busy weekend ahead --- maybe?

My wife is off to a dog show and I have a lot of things to do this weekend. Sadly, I don't think I'll get most of it done. The first disc of the first season of Stargate Atlantis finally came in so I may end up with a marathon.

What has to be done (no exceptions):
Clean the air conditioner filter - DONE (By 8:30am)
Clean the cat litter boxes - DONE (By 8:30am)

What I'd also like to get done:
Trim back the grape vines = DONE (Sun 9AM)
Clean out my desk area - DONE (I'm actually surprised at this one) - 10am
    Clean out the "pet" room
Work on a canine DM site (luckily I found a nice color scheme so I just need to finish the template - but then the fun part - adding all the content)
At least one load of laundry (not critical but it would be nice to get it out of the way) - DONE (Sat 7PM)
Research and update my canine influenza site
Talk to our schutzhund helper to see if she knows someone local to us who has a full body suit to "test" Kiri (I'd also like to record it)

    Errands I'd like to run:
Bass pro shops to look into getting a rifle (about a 30-40 minute drive each way)
Take Kiri to schutzhund (an hour each way, Sat 5-7) - I doubt I'll do this one.

My question is - what do you think I WILL get done this weekend? Maybe I'll update this post as I do(n't) get things done.

You'll most likely get the easier indoor chores done first, like laundry, desk, and pet room. Then, depending on if you're a more physical or intellectual person, you'll either trim the grapevines or work on your sites.

I wouldn't bet on getting out of the house. Not because you won't be able to, but because nobody wants to go anywhere during the day on a weekend unless it's something fun.

Everytime I would leave a live in boyfriend at home for a few days they always got the following done

      - dirty every single dish in the house
      - pee on the floor, blame it on the cat
      - buy something expensive
      - order take out
      - break something
      - piss off at least one (1) neighbor

That's exactly what my wife does BEFORE she leaves for the weekend.

I did the two critical ones - cat litter boxes and AC filter. The AC filter could have gone another week but I'd rather do it now in case something happens that I can't do it next week (I try to clean it every 2 weeks. Yes, they recommend once a month during the summer but with all the animals it's better to do it too often than not often enough).

I just finished eating breakfast and the dogs have been fed.

Last night I got some of my SG: Atlantis fix out of the way. I didn't realize that the first episode was going to be Atlantis Rising (I've already seen it). I may watch a couple more episodes today.

The grape vines NEED to be done even though it's already very hot and humid out. Maybe I'll do them tomorrow. (Yes, I am the master of procrastination).

Getting out for fun - Bass Pro shops can be fun. It's like LL Bean for south Florida (although they are getting in (snow) skiing equipment now - not really south Florida'ish).

            OOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I love tasks. Every day I start with a task list with about a dozen tasks on and I love crossing them off when they're done.

Today I have done all the tasks except for -

Watch three programmes on TV tonight (xfactor, casualty, and worlds most daring video, because boyfriend is working tonight)

Descale the kettle which I like to do regularly

Make a fruit salad with some nice fruit I bought yesterday (strawberries, figs, apples, oranges, bananas, pears)

Edit- yes all the plates in the house are dirty, I will have to do the washing up (because I don't do what boyfriend does, which is use the same plate or cup for meal aftermeal without washing it up in between yeuchhhhhhhhhh)

And as for procrastination, that's what tomorrows task list is for, cross it off today's list and put it on tomorrows, you can do that for months at a time.

You've got a lot more done than me!

              My list for the weekend:

put tupperware in the big box, have hubby bring it downstairs-got it packed away, still needs to go downstairs
convince hubby to clean Ryuu's cage (sadly my stomach is too weak)
              clean fishkeh's tank-will do today
              do laundry-starting now
              finish dragon-not quite done yet
start new dragon- got everything ready, now to cut it out and start!
put fabric away-as soon as I get the fabric I need ready, I'll start it
              clean desk
clean stuff off of the floor
make cookies-will do when my brother gets here so he can help
              watch Fantasia-it's super inspiring!

Unfortunately hubby is having super long days (not my dad's schedule this time) and he's too exhausted when he gets home to do most of his chores.
Oh wook at teh widdle babeh dwaggin! How cyuuute babeh dwag-AAAAAAAUUUGGGHHHH! *nom*

Well, I got a lot more done than I thought I would, I'm actually having a hard time getting up the anti-procrastination to work on the sites.

But I did do though the first 3 discs of Stargate Atlantis yesterday.
