  • Holy Mother of God...

I went into the kitchen for 90 seconds to pop some macaroni in the microwave for lunch. I peered around the door into the dining room...

...to see my 14-month-old sitting in the middle of the dining room table, examining some coupons I'd left there.

Really casually, like he did it every day.

    >sigh<

Superstition says children born by c-section are especially strong (true).

It also says they are especially lucky (God, I hope so. He's going to need it).

Do you often turn your back for more than 10 seconds at a time? He might! (good luck!)

He has that unfortunate combination of All-Consuming Curiosity + Complete Lack of Fear.

Superstition also says children born on Saturdays can see ghosts. Maybe he's not really just babbling to himself all the time...?

My son had a conversation the other day with the lady at the fabric store cutting fabric for me. He's 3, by the way and also a Saturday/C-section baby.
She swore he was 5, because he was polite and knew all about the fabric she was cutting. (color, what we were gonna make with it, etc)

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child who is born on the Sabbath Day
Is bonny and blithe and good and gay.[

Theyre right. I was born on a Monday and Im dead sexy.... LOL

He's going to think that a red blanket aka cape will make him fly. Off the roof. With no cushion. Or helmet.

How bout we all pitch in and buy you a bottle or 3 of 25yr old scotch, cuz you're going to need it.

So am I. But I found out my husband was also born on a Wednesday, and he's usually pretty cheerful.

My son was born on Thursday, supposedly he has "far to go". I just wish I knew in which direction...!

My two were natural births and the fearlessness/climbing sounds awfully familiar. If caesers are stronger and more fearless than natural births, then be afraid, be very afraid!

I was a Thursday baby, I had a Thursday bub and a Tuesday bub as well as having done a lot of travelling.
