I am aware this thread my be moved or even deleted.

I really enjoy this site and what it stand for and all that crap, but it is really hard to keep up with everything when I have to wait about 24 hours for my post to show and then when I get back on the site I can't look up the replies to my post because I'm "not a member" yet. I would love to be able to keep track of the games I play and the threads I reply on but I can't right now. Plus I don't have a lot of time to spend on this site hunting down my last post I made. I would visit more offen if I could view my thread history!

It's cumbersome, sure. It's more work for us as well.

It's the best method we have of making sure there's no spammers, trolls, stalkers, or those charmless neo-nazis we had about three or four years back. We usually manage to get posts approved in a matter of hours.

Part of the automated system we have involves new members getting some post counts. You've been posting all the way in non-counting areas, so you fell through the gap.

The offtopic forums are no count posts. The "heart of the site" posts count towards your overall number.
