  • Yayz..!

My hubby has been unemployed since April, when his office closed down. He has diligently been doing the mind numbing "Ready 2 Work" program (how to interview, resume writing, aptitude tests) in our area. Since he completed the program, they gave him a $10k grant to use as he wished for job training.

He started a System Administrator program today and its cost was $9,000. I dont know if thats alot for that kind of program, but they pay for the cost of the cert exams at the end as well as guaranteed job placement (and they have an office in Florida!).

Im just happy for him. He hasnt attempted any kind of schooling post high school, so this was a big step for him.

Yeah seriously. They wouldve put the 10k towards any program he wanted, he just had to prove there was a need for the career in the area.

My brother did the same program, used the 10k for the community college here and graduates in the spring with his degree in marketing.

Also, he will get more than one beer. LOL.

Pass my congrats onto him, Amina!

Once he gets a job, point him to the Unsupportable sub forum.

          Thanks, TA.

But I've been trying to get him to join CS.com FOR YEARS! Lol.

          We'll see.
