Isn't that cute? I love toybots. I might buy one for my niece if she's really good this year. (I don't think last year's crystal radio set went down all that well.)

The thing is, this little guy is just practice for when I plunk down the money for this. This is one of those items where I have no idea why I want it. I just do. Shut up.

Yea! It's here! Some assembly required, of course, but it looks like maybe an hour, tops.

I don't know how well crystal radios work - mine was crap, but I could pick up a few stations on it. Trouble is, I just had no idea what to buy a smart, wilful 12-year-old girl for Christmas, and I had fun with mine when I was her age, so...

The other toybot has more features; I'm putting it on my Christmas list.
