I just bought some salsa that was not what I expected though it is very yummy. Basically it is a tropical salsa and is very sweet (for salsa) but it also has a lot of savory-type spices and is medium hot. It tastes really odd with corn chips so I need suggestions on what to use it with.

ETA: It is made from pineapple, mandarin orange, mango, jalapeno, garlic, and cilantro.

I often like to use a sweet salsa in a very spicy dish.

That sounds really good. It would probably be good on any kind of white meat, like chicken breasts, pork, or white fish.

I would use it to bake chicken breasts or maybe pork tenderloin. possibly with pork chops. give them a caribbean sort of flavor

Yeah, beat me to it. Grilled chicken or pork.

Grilled fish would be my first choice, something nice and light, not too fishy of a fish, it would also go well with chicken or pork.

If you want it for snacking you could try it with plantain chips but that usually only works with really fruity salsas so it would depend on the amount of savory spices.

              Ice cream?
Who knows, it might be an unexpected delight. Spicy/sweet has to be juuuuuusssst right for me, so I usually avoid that combo unless in truly fancy surroundings.
Although, plantain or banana chips sound like a good starting combo.
EDIT: even vanilla has a huge range of flavor in ice cream, so I recommend organic or fancy pants vanilla ice cream, that stuff tends to have natural (ie tastes right to me) vanilla.
or! try it on cheapy thin potato chips. The corn flavor/texture does strange things to sweet.

                  Yay! Success!
Now you can get it again and try it with new things, if you're in the mood to eat more of the salsa and experiment.
