Well, I'm back in the work force!
It's actually been in the works for a while, because I had to go through a govt screening before they would take me on. I've passed the preliminary part of things, and I get to start my training, but there is more they need to do before I get full clearance.
So, I'm working for a US govt contractor, working a service desk for one of the many govt entities (not going to say which one, just to CMA). I've trained the past two days, and will continue for the next week and half before being put on the phones myself.
I feel almost like a real person. 8-hour days, starting at 5am, weekends off (I'm pretty sure) and some federal holidays free (although we do run 24x7 and someone will cover holidays, just not a full staff).
So, other than having to get up at way too early in the morning, this is a good thing. I even have my own desk that I don't have to share with anybody!
Now, off to shower and get dressed for work...
