  • Metallica Rules!!!!!

    Just have to share!!

Went to their Sydney concert last night and it was unbelievable!!!!

If you live in Oz and have any way to get a ticket to one of their shows - do it

Lasers, pyrotechnics and a range of songs from their eariest work to the latest album. 2 hours of bliss They even drop hundreds of black beach balls onto the audience at the end of the show

I may be getting older, but I still love a good heavy metal concert!

              Wanna hear a bad joke?

              St. Anger.

That being said, I do want to see Metallica live someday.

And, as an interesting aside, one local radio station has a contest going on where one can win tickets + backstage passes to see The Prince of Darkness, Godfather of Metal, Ozzy Osbourne himself.

Metallica's one of two bands I'll actually pay just about any amount of money to go see.

When they played in Milwaukee...wow, almost 2 years ago?!?!?!? The totally skipped St. Anger and didn't do much (if anything) from Load and ReLoad.

I've seen them a few times.

First was back at the Monsters of Rock tour, at the Coliseum (1988, I was 16). Then the Wherever We May Roam tour (1992). Then the show with Guns 'n' Roses, also at the Coliseum (1992). Then the Shit Hit the Sheds tour with Suicidal Tendancies, et al (1994).

Both of the shows at the Coliseum were free. I'd won tickets from radio stations in both cases.

I'd be right there with you.

I haven't seen 'em in quite a long time.

I try to forget St. Anger, although I don't have quite as harsh feelings toward Load and Reload.

I never bought re-laod or St Anger.

There were 2 songs they played that I actually didnt know, so they might have been off those albums.

S&M is a brilliant album. I dont think they came to Oz with that one (or I missed it for some reason)

I freinds of ours went to the same show we did, went to the next one (last night) and is flying to Adelaide today for tomorrow nights show - If only we had the money......
