She'll get over it once she feels better. I bet for now she just wants to see and smell everything that is normal for her, my kitty just wanted to lie on the couch and snuggle after we got him fixed and declawed (not my choice. )
When she's better, do you want a handmade catnip toy for her?

actually, Violet loves her catnip flavored pounce treats, so she just might like a catnip toy.

Right now she's camped out between my leg and the arm of the chair I'm sitting in, purring away.

      I'll send you a PM.

Aww, it's always hard in situations like this, to watch an animal you love be confined. But remember, it's not forever, you love her and aren't doing this to be mean.

The pathology report came back on Violet's lump. Turns out it was a just a sebaceous cyst. In the meantime, shes totally back to normal despite having twelve stitches in her belly. She's not licking or poking at them at all. They come on the day before Thanksgiving.

She got the stitches out today and is already back to flopping over on her side looking for belly rubs.

And now that her fur is growing back, we noticed that somehow the vet managed to line up the incision precisely at the line where her fur switches from gray to white. What are the odds of that?

I suppose the vet could have done that on purpose.
I doubt the cat is worried about its bikini line, but some owners might turn SC if the fur change colour at the scar. It will be less visible when there is a change there already.

Well, prior to making the incision they shaved that area down to bare skin, whereupon you ould no longer tell the original fur color.

Plus my mother commented on it to the vet and the said they didn't do it on purpose .
