I also like to put in my Thanks for such caring and friendly members and MODS on the board and that we all have this board as our means of venting anonymously.

Very well said, Food Lady and others!

I've had friends that have never, or perhaps rarely, or maybe it's been a long time since they worked face to face with the public, and don't seem to understand how difficult some customers can be, and still don't seem to get it once I've explained it to them.

What's probably most frustrating, whether it be having breakfast with a friend that is bitching to me that the extra butter which he ordered for his pancakes, at the time they were placed on the table, instead of with the initial order, at a restaurant he's eaten at regularly and always has to have the extra butter hasn't been delivered within ten seconds, and I point out that the server is busy with other customers, and he sez, smugly, "Well.....if they can't handle it, they should get another job!" Also bugs me to see that attitude arise in Internet comment threads and such.[/ramble]

But, yeah, this is a great place to vent, although I've shared relatively few of my own stories, other than maybe piggy-backing them on another Poster's thread. If nothing else, we realize we are not alone in our frustrations with the suckiness that some Customers provide.

I also like the fact that the sole focus is not SC's. The good Customers deserve to be recognized too.

So, huge thanks to Raps and the entire MOD/ADMIN/TECH Team!

I have nothing but respect for the Moderators here. I'm not 1/10 of the Mod (another board) as they are. In fact, wish they could come to the forum I moderate and clean house a little . You guys rock.

                          ...What they all said

I'm glad to say that, I recommend this board to friends of mine -- especially those in Retail Hell -- both for the fact that "that's what it's for" *and* because the atmosphere here is just so...so civil. Credit for this rare quality goes to both the regular members and to the modteam.

It astounds me that this place exists on the same Intarwebz as the likes of Gaia/Gamefaqs/#-chan Image boards, and yet it manages to be a wonderful island of calm within the storm. Without the mods/admin/tech team busting ass to keep people in line , this board would be a much less enjoyable place.

                          Kudos to you all! ^_^

I don't post all that much, and I don't work in retail anymore, and I can't really add anything to the discussion. Just wanted to add my thanks to the pot, and say how much I enjoy this board.
