  • Slicey is addicted to yarn (Or Lupo and RD want pictures) IMAGE HEAVY!!!!!!!!!

    So as you know i learned to knit.

    one of the things ive done with this skill it make baby blankets. Because i will never again have to deal with 'Oh So is pregnant and is having a baby shower in 3 days, can you make something' Again!!!!!!!

    so since lupo demanded it and restaurantdude chimed in and lots of other people since ive finished my 3rd complete blanket here are pictures, and 2 of my half complete one.

    Enjoy!

    this one is knitted and is nicknamed the 'Jayne Blanket'

    This is a recieving blanket that will be donated after this post to a charity my nana works with making blankets for premees. This and the next one are Crotcheted

    this blanket used just about 4 skiens of yarn... and is huge....

    Again Knitted but with a crotcheted border
    This one is only half done. Why you might ask?
    Because of this ->
    Bumby seams that will not be fun for babies. So i need a square of fabric to line it with to cover up the seams and make it more snuggleable.

    I am also working on a pink red and white heart patchwork blanket and then a crotchet Dr. Seuss blanket with bright colors and an squares.

          jeepers creepers! You're amazing!

          my grandma taught me how to knit and crochet and i've gone and forgotten how to. It was many a years ago. Gramma is getting to the age she can't see as well anymore, so asking her to help me may be out of the question. I ENVY your talent >< I wish i was diligent enough to relearn and do something with them.
          I can only please one person a day, today isn't your day, and tomorrow doesn't look good either.

                ph i forgot to mention most of my projects are eco friendly too because i use donated (aka scrap yarn from other people's projects.) or yarn form my grandmother who gets most of her yarn from donation stores.

                          Nice! I haven't learned how to color change with knitting yet. I like the basketweave one!

                          I'm working on my first custom crochet pattern for a friend for xmas. It's black with the Green Lantern symbol over a white circle.
