ok so its been three weeks since my lower back started hurting.

me being stubborn, havent done anything yet about it. even though i know i asked you guys.

it doesnt seem to be getting any better. and now my whole pelvic area is sore.

i looked online at what it could be. most things pointed to strain. i read the symptoms of kidney infections, i do not have that. i probably should call the doctor? and be like "hey so my back has been hurting for like 3 weeks, i havent takin any pain releivers, b/c you know i hate them, and if i took them every day i'd be sick by now anyways. and i dont have enough time off from work to lay down all day and rest, so what do i do? kthnx"

I'm calling my doctor's office today to say basically the same thing about my wrist, it's been hurting and in a brace for two weeks now, I take pain pills but they aren't helping, and no, I can't rest it and not sew because that's my job and I have commissions I'm backed up on.
I mean, they'll probably lecture you but hey, they might help you too.

I'm sorry you're not feeling good, Sara. If you can afford it, I would recommend visiting a chiropractor, as they specialize in back/shoulder/neck issues, and/or get some of this stuff:

      http://www.amazon.com/TIGER-BALM-LIN...449585&sr=8-12

It's an oil that you use topically to help relieve pain. Sorta like Bengay if you've ever heard of or used that, although I think the Tiger Balm Liniment is better than Bengay or the regular Tiger Balm (which is more like a paste than an oil) since it penetrates deeper and isn't as messy as creams or pastes. I had a backache last Thursday, to the point where I could almost not walk, especially after sitting/laying in the same place for more than about 15 minutes at a time. I think I had pulled a muscle in my deep lower back while I was walking. Anyway, it's almost completely gone today and the Tiger Balm certainly helped.

Of course, since it's been going on so long, maybe x-rays are in order to make sure you didn't mess up your spine or a disc somewhere. :\ *hopes not*

I have a knockoff of Bengay, I think it's Therogesic or something like that. It works on me really well when I've worked it a little too hard.

My mom had better results with Bengay than she did with the chiropracter...

i had others suggest Tigerbalm. its not cheap, but i mean i have money lol. but i asked the pharmacist and she said that stuff (as in balms n such) dont really work.

so i didnt buy it, yet again, not listening to anyone, i know im STUBBORN, i do appreciate everyones insight tho.

i also had people suggest a chiropracter. i dont know if insurance covers that, or how much that would be.

my back seems to hurt more when im not mobile. so at work it can still hurt, but not as much? but still 3 weeks is annoying. i'll look at tiger balm again tomorrow, and sleep with a pillow under my knees tonite

If the reason you haven't called the doctor is that you hate to hear the "why didn't you call sooner," don't worry about it. You won't be the first person to wait before seeing the doctor.

Here, I'll get it out of the way for you: "Holy Cats, Sara, if it's been three weeks why didn't you call me sooner???"

                OK? Now call.
