Ok first off it was a temporary job. It wasn't that the boss was sucky, nor the coworkers, and believe it or not even the customers were ok. No the reason it was absolutely crazy was because of the end of the shift.
See, I was good with numbers. Very good. Like figuring out large numbers in my head faster then some people could with a calculator good. My father knew a big shot in my community, and got me a job with them. My job was officially being a closer at one of his many restaurants, but most of the time I was in the back with all the money.
Now when I say 'all the money' I am not talking for the one restaurant I was at, but all of his businesses money. I don't know how many he owned in total, but I know in a rather small town, he'd easily clear 50k a night in cash (this did not include credit card purchases). There were some bars, some gas stations, and at least one restaurant. Now what was absolutely crazy was..instead of each business counting it up and dropping the money off at the bank...the managers would all bring it to me, and I would count it up..noting how much each person brought me..and later somebody would make sure that number = the receipts within a margin of error.
After I finished counting the cash (somebody else was doing the credit card purchases I guess)..I would then go ALONE to the bank to deposit it. No security, no body with me, basically with a big bulls eye on my back saying "HERE I AM ROB ME!"
Yet..not once was I ever even approached to be robbed. Maybe because they didn't expect a kid to be doing it? Might be why he had me drop the money..cause nobody would suspect it. *shrugs*
Edit : Oh and I might add that while this was a small town, crime was not unknown. We had a 'slums' where gangs/drugs/ and basically anything you could want could be had .. for a price. There was actually a LOT of crime for a small town.

He is my Black Dragon (and yes, a good one) strong, protective, the guardian. I am his Silver Dragon, always by his side, shining for him, cherishing him.
