Just thought Id share. I havent done anything besides fly abound the Eastern Kingdoms...just cuz I can.

I jumped in and gained half a level in Vashj'ir. Then, since I want to explore all content, I'll go over to Hyjal for a bit before moving on to the next tier of zones.

Also looking forward to playing a goblin rogue and a worgen...something. Some cloth wearer most likely. Maybe I'll delete my warlock and play a worgen warlock. Would that be a worglock?

I'm not letting myself download it until after finals are over though because I know myself waaaay too well to think that'd be a good idea. >_> But then I'm gonna roll a goblin priest! I really want to try healing for my guild's raids (famous last words..).

Fiance went to bed at 9 pm last night so he could wake up at 3 and play for a few hours before work. I have to work on a paper, so I probably won't play until tonight. Although, to be honest, the character I'm leveling right now is in Outland, so it'll be a while before I get to try out all the new zones. Also, SO excited about being able to fly in Azeroth.

I have a copy on order through amazon and my order screen didn't offer a "arrive on launch day" option, so I have a few days wait before I can get mine.

Works for me mind you. By the time I get in (I already have all the finalized content downloaded anyways), the servers should be calmed down enough to avoid a queue. (my characters are all on one of the original servers which has a very heavy population)

I pick up ours today. So hitting archeology (more pets and mounts). Right now I am having a blast leveling my orc warlock. I have a tauren priest that I want to work on also. I figure i will levely my mage and druid a little then work on the alts. Plus I am starting a goblin shaman.

I pre-ordered as a digital download, so mine was ready at 12:01. Though it was 12:30 before you could even log in. Than I played a Worgen for 20 minutes and logged off tired and unimpressed.

They have such great voices, but recycling the human models....and the worgen base models....and recycling the 4 legged run cycle as their mount? Kinda half-assed, honestly. But the voices. They have fantastic voices.....that do not match the character in any way shape or form. Like putting Tim Curry's voice on Forest Gump. Total disconnect. >.>

Oh well, mayhaps the 80-85 content is where the love went.

@Taboo: Priest healing is so much fun! I haven't had a chance to do it in a raid setting, as my priest is only level 45 I think? But I've tried druid healing and I'm not sure I care for it; found it very mana inefficient (at least at level 15) but then again, I completely forgot about Swiftmend...

I promised hubby I'd level my hunter with him, so I'm relegated to playing with the new races for now. May start a worgen priest on the server he rolled his Alliance on, may play with goblins, who knows? *shrug*

They get a single leveling zone for 12 levels and their primary storyline isn't even theirs to finish. You have to play as a forsaken to finish it. When contrasted to the goblins who feel so much more fleshed out, it's disconcerting.

Go with whatever you like. Almost every zone in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms has undergone a major overhaul. (Arathi Highlands is the only that had little change, mainly additional modeling for flight and the wording on some quests. I was horribly disappointed) There is tons of new stuff to do and see, and most of it doesn't even need the expansion for.

Oh? I saw a bit of the Goblin stuff and it looked pretty good. But Worgen struck me as "Oh crap oh crap, think...think, wait, werewolves! Werewolves are cool right now aren't they? Don't we have those laying around?" Then they all went and watched Beauty & The Beast for character inspiration.

Archaeology is good, lazy exp though it takes forever to get one artifact together sometimes. But I've had problems with artifact dig points being *inside* cliffs and crap.
