  • This sucks

    I'm sick.

This is a bad weekend for me to be sick.

My husband and I have tickets to a local theatre production in half an hour, and I'm not going to be able to go 'cuz I feel like crap. We're supposed to have a Christmas party tomorrow with all of our friends, and I don't know if I should cancel or not. We can't postpone it till next weekend 'cuz another friend of ours is having their Christmas party next weekend; the weekend after that is Christmas; the weekend after that I'm going to be vending at an anime con; and two weeks after that I'm vending at another show so I'll need the week in between to restock my supplies. If we don't have this party tomorrow it's not going to happen till the end of January and that's not much of a Christmas party.

I feel like I'm gonna cry!

What's the verdict? Are you calling it off? Maybe cold meds will help? And hot chocolate and tonic water with your choice of spirit (quinine in the tonic makes you feel better.)

So call it a "January sucks so we're having a party to brighten it up" party!

I went ahead with the party today. I rested a lot yesterday...my husband is awesome and went and did all the grocery shopping by himself. He told me I shouldn't be out when I was feeling bad. <3 So I slept and rested and took a lot of meds and was feeling pretty good this morning. Still had a bit of a sore throat but it wasn't as bad as it was yesterday. Everyone had a great time so I'm glad we were able to have the party. AND the theater is letting us use our tickets for a show next weekend instead!

I feel for you. This is a very unpredictable time of year, you can get sick at any time without much warning.

I heard Wisconsin got dumped on. My parents got around 11 inches I think and it's still coming down, but only very very lightly, they said it's practically over. Ugh.

Sweetie, why were you not wearing snow boots? In a bit of denial, there?
