    I made out quite well.

    * TONS of gift cards for Kohl's (I seriously need new pants since I lost the last of the baby weight, I guess other people noticed too...)

    * Piles of books (River of Doubt, Mark Twain's Autobiography volume 1, Blade of the Immortal v 22, Biomega v 1, On Basilisk Station)

    * Gourmet popcorn from the best place in town(strawberry shortcake, peanut butter and chocolate, and cheddar)- yeah, way to reverse that weight loss, Mom...

    * Hello Kitty pajama pants

    * A lovely silver Thor's Hammer necklace

    * A cool green laptop case

    * Gift cards for a book store. JUST what I need.

I gave gift cards, an iPod Nano, a neat rocket ship complete with Martian, two astronauts and a space dog (that was for Khan), a gorgeous edition of Grimm's Fairy Tales illustrated by Arthur Rackham (also for Khan), a digital picture frame and a Wallace & Gromit DVD (for the baby nephew- it's never too early to start them on British humor).

Also got Seroogy's fudge and Seroogy's assorted chocolate (which was supposed to go to Becks, but we won't tell our brother).

And got socks from one of my older sisters, which we think was a "Oh my God they got me something so I need to get them something!!!!!!!!!" gift, when I wasn't expecting a gift at all and wouldn't have felt bad if I didn't get one at all.
What Lizziebeff said. Except for the box of assorted chocolates.

Oh, and I think I might be getting a couple of bottles of Tequila Rose.

Let's see. I got a pink/fuchsia coach purse from my cousin. Also I got Boy Meets World Season 4, Sorcerers Apprentice, and the A-Team on dvd. I got card stock, which I wanted, because I love to make cards and postcards, and the Sims 3 Fast Lane stuff. Other gifts were just stocking stuffer stuff.

Today I got from Mom: a coin purse, a cupcake/cake carrier, a cell phone holder, one of those things that you can unfold to hang up a purse anywhere, and some really weird socks. From Sis: a $25 gift card. And my aunt gave me some nice pillows, which we really really needed. That's in addition to what Mom's already bought me. Sis also gave Fiance a scarf and an ice scraper w/ glove thing. Mom is sending Fiance a bunch of nice socks and a fleece jacket that I may or may not be planning on hanging on my side of the closet.

Once again, nobody this year listened to me when I said, "I don't want anything. Don't buy me anything." And while folks didn't do too bad, I still want to slap them for not listening.

Most of the stuff I got was from my mother, and most of it was t-shirts. Which I do not need - my dresser is overflowing with shirts. But some are ones that no longer fit me (hooray for gaining 40 pounds in less than a year), so this wasn't too bad.

                Other stuff I got includes:

                - Christian Audigier perfume set (very, very smelly; have far too many scents already from past holidays)
                - Wireless headphones (only work in one ear)
                - Lottery tickets (on which I won $35)
                - Shaving goodies (always need more, so this was a good one)
                - Easy/Bastardized Chinese recipes book
                - Book on Hudson Valley ghost stories
                - Underwear (also needed)

Since Mother said we could do some returns on the stuff I didn't like/want, I want to make a little stop at GameStop. There are a few games I want (Samurai Warriors XTreme Legends II, Dynasty Warriors 5, Sonic Colors) and I would like to put the refunded money toward those...if I can find them. I'd also like a carrying case for my DSi since the cover is getting a bit dinged up.

And my best friend got me a hakama, which I did at one point say I wanted. The only thing is I do not yet have a kimono to wear with it, so it'll have to kind of sit tight and wait until I get one.

You have no idea how insanely jealous I am right now. Their mint meltaway bars are....I have to stop now before I start touching myself over candy bars.

From time to time groups sell them as fundraisers at the swamp. The group could be the Al Qaeda League of Puppy Kickers, and I would still buy a mint meltaway bar from them if they were offering them.

                  Anyhow, here's what I gave:

                  Friends: assorted gift cards

Mom: a couple coffee mugs from a local-ish coffee place (she collects them) and a set of melamine mixing bowls from the swamp she'd had her eyes on since spring, and complained because we never seemed to have them when they were on sale.

                  Dad: a new electric razor

Sister: a $25 gift card to Chilis to use with her boyfriend because they don't cook much because their kitchen is so small.

Sister's boyfriend: two pairs of gloves

Thanks for reminding me. Also got a bunch of candy bars, with a lot of mint ones (my fave!!). My vet sells them to raise money to take care of abandoned cats they find/are given, so I try to remember to have cash on hand when I stop in.

                        • I got my usual preferred, practical, simple gift -- munny ^_^

Some for it to help pay for gas to go up to visit family for xmas (5+ hours each way), some that I have been asked to spend on a device with GPS capabilities. I can't imagine why >_> I mean, it's not like I've taken the scenic route gotten myself lost for an hour within twenty minutes of my own house...often...x.X

And, of course, just to prove the point, I took the wrong highway and added a good hour to my trip home from their place today >_<

                          • My boyfriend surprised me with an impulsive gift after we decided not to exchange (since we're apart for Christmas), so I can add the first Lonely Island album to my list, since he knows I love Andy Samberg.

                            I love my boyfriend!
