  • Making Chocolate Bars

I want to make up some chocolate bars for family for christmas, and while I can find a lot about tempering chocolate, I can find nothing about flavoring it. I want to make orange chocolate and coffee chocolate. Help?

Adding flavor is a little trickier when making it at home. You'll want the OIL add just a tsp at a time, mix it until smooth AFTER you've melted it. After it's nice and mixed in, you should be able to pour just like normal. Just make sure you don't add too much, or it won't set correctly. You might try just making a batch and taste it before deciding to add/subtract more flavoring in the next batch.

Wonderful! I could tell from what I read that it would be a bad idea just to dump some flavoring in, but I couldn't find anything about what I could do.
