Another small piece of history.

Not a huge one but still cool to have:

But tonight I might have something really cool and then in a few days either myself or a good friend of mine may have something truly amazing.

I'm happy now. I got this:



It is a picture of Strongheart (dog) and John Bowers (human) on the set of "The Silent Call" (1921).

I got the picture today. Words cannot describe what it feels like to hold a piece of history like this.

(I just scanned the photograph - now it's back in it's cardboard packaging).



Time to find some museum quality glass and frames.

The "truly amazing" item didn't pan out - it went WAY to much. It was an original copy of the first edition of the Pennsylvania Post - it had in it the list of grievances that the first Continental Congress sent to King George in the 1770's. It went for almost $900.

I also got two Rin Tin Tin books published in the late 1920's and another picture of Strongheart (won on Sunday, I should see it in a week or so since it's coming from Canada).

I got this negative of Rin Tin Tin during an appearance in the late 1950's. I've contacted the Rin Tin Tin kennel to see if they know when it was taken.



I also have another picture of Strongheart but I'll have to wait to scan that, we're going out now.
