I was talking about now and during the times when those movies were released. However roughly about time I hit sixth grade, chicken was gone in favor of 'pussy'. So, roughly around 1996.

While "chicken" was more a thing I heard in my childhood, "scrote" has been far more recent, actually. Hell, never even heard "scrote" till recently.

I wonder how much of the showing of the BttF stuff is due to Telltale Games releasing their adventure game based on the franchise.

Reviews have all been pretty favorable so far.

Over here, it tends to be said that you have no "balls". XD If said person is married, then it's "your wife has your balls on her mantlepiece". XD

Oh, and I always noticed the whole pine thing; it was one of my fave moments in the film. XD Along with the Strickland scene in the second movie. "Eat lead, slackers!"

It's a case of you have to know what you're getting into. If you're expecting incredible animations and spectacular graphics, go somewhere else. In terms of visuals, it's hardly Telltale's best work. But if you like the movies, you'll like this. It feels like the movies and belongs with them.

My only real beef is what the heck happened with the time machine? The game takes place after the third movie, but the DeLorean was destroyed and Doc built a new one out of a train. Now his family's nowhere to be seen, the train is nowhere to be found, and the DeLorean is back.

LordLundar - Your expecting continuity out of a time-travel franchise? :P

From what I've gathered from the game and bits and pieces, is that this Doc is from an earlier time. As in that Deleron is the original. In other words, think of this I guess.

At the end of the first one, Doc goes 30 years into the future. Does stuff, decides to do some more time travel (Remeber, in the second one he suddenly had a case of money from all times). Then, for this game, he goes to 1931 and needs help. He puts the time machine to a couple months later after he left the first time. BEFORE he sent it a few months into the future when he left, he has yet to come back the first time for the events of the second movie.

So basically, it's a slightly younger doc who didn't know about the events in the second, nor his adventure in the third movie. And even if Marty tries to tell him, he'd likely spew into the whole "Don't tell me or it can seriously fuck up time again".

After the events of the game, the doc then goes to the day after he left in the first movie to take the younger marty who hasn't experenced the game world yet, to the future, where at this point Doc is seriously hating his time machine.

I'm still waiting for a bacon de-wrinklefier I saw in a cartoon once.
When you fry your bacon, it starts to wrinkle up on you, right? Fuck that noise, press a button on the skillet and a tiny arm with a hammer smashes those bastards flat, like God intended.

That's not surprising - it only came out just before Christmas.

I don't have it, yet, but Nekojin does. He hasn't played it at all, yet, however.

Oh, these exist. They're called "ovens." That's right...oven roast your bacon, and it won't shrivel up like it does in the skillet.

Really....I haven't tried that myself. Interesting.

I have to admit I didn't even know a BTTF game was out there.....I can't believe it's still an active franchise after what...25 years? damn

I don't think *any* film taking place in the near future ever got it right

We watched Demolition Man the other night and they were sorta right on a couple of things. They made a comment about Arnold being President. That was 10 years BEFORE he announced his candidacy to be the Govenator.

Or, you could just put a weight on it, like they do in fast food places to keep it flat for sandwiches.

You should. It's how I cook my bacon for most dishes. Less greasy and less "wrinkled," though for most of my dishes the second part doesn't really matter, as the bacon is getting chopped up. It is also how most restaurants cook their bacon in batches. It also makes less mess than it does in the skillet. Pretty easy and lots of upside to it, actually.

Right, but everyone knew he was interested in and involved in politics, and part of the joke is that no matter how involved he would get, by the provisions of the U.S. Constitution as they currently stand, Arnold can never BE President (not native-born).

I'll start taking my cooking cues from fast food places just as soon as I start taking my humanitarian cues from North Korea, thank you very much.
