  • New Years Resolutions

I had a look to see if anyone had posted this before, but I couldn't see anything. So apologies if this topic is already on here somewhere!

I was just wondering if anyone is planning any New Years Resolutions for 2011?

I never normally make resolutions, mainly because I am so bad at keeping them, but I have decided on one at last.

    Giving up alcohol

I used to drink quite a lot, mainly because I worked at the pub. After a shift from hell it was all too easy to buy yourself a few drinks to get rid of the stress and forget about it all. Now I no longer work at the pub, alcohol just doesn't do anything for me anymore except give me really bad hangovers.

So I resolve to not drink during 2011! Wish me luck

I was going to make some resolutions, but then I realised I'm awesome.

As for yours, I can heartily recommend it. It's worth it.

Not so much resolution as goals:

Get a house and outta my condo (and hopefully be sharing said house with BF)
Get at least 3 more 48 4000's in NH

      Best of luck customersruinmylife!

Same as Cat ... more like goals and not resolutions. I need to find a new job. I love the hospitality industry ( yeah I am strange) but I am tired of the hours.

CRML, without the stress and easy access, hopefully it is easy for you. Best of luck!

Mine is going to be HARD.

Pepsi. (and Mt. Dew, Dr. Pepper, etc.)

I need to give it up. The diet stuff scares me more than the regular, but the regular has way too many calories, etc.

I don't drink much, I don't smoke, but I am addicted to the deliciousness that is Pepsi.

            I'm going to continue.

I'm going to continue learning to speak up for myself.

I'm going to continue loosing weight.

I'm going to continue my education.

I'm going to continue telling myself I'm beautiful, until I actually believe it.

I'm going to continue feeling worth the effort.

I am going to (and these will be first for me):

-Buy a car that will be titled, registered, and insured all under my own name. (plans for this are just about to be set in motion)

-GET A GIRLFRIEND. This is extremely important.

                (Not firsts)

-Finish some of the hobby projects that have been gathering dust in my room

....that's all I've got for now.

I'm going to figure out how to work exercise back into my schedule. I used to consistently work out 3-4 times a week, but that stopped when school started. I actually miss it.

I am going to lose these last 5 pounds so I can look awesome in my new Mary Marvel costume.

I will work my ass off to finish this YA novel the Husband and I are co-authoring, so we can get it out to agents by the end of the summer.

I will make friends with other mothers so Khan can have more kids to play with (it's really hard for me to make friends).

I am going to whip this house into shape.

                    Good luck everyone!

                      My resolution: 1920 x 1050! /geek

I haven't made any resolutions but I do have a few ongoing things: continued weight loss, new job, get out of debt etc

Be more clean/organized on the homefront. No more mini-hoarder.

Get this Depo Provera out of my body and hopefully lose a few pounds easier.

I am going to fit into a bridesmaid dress.

I *will* lose 30 lbs before my sister's wedding in October.

                            I *will* eat less sugar.

                            I *will* drink more water.

                            I *will* exercise more.

I *will* resume my weekly physical therapy sessions.

                            I *will* start walking more.

Last year I came across a Post Secret post that I made my signature (just took it off a few weeks ago, actually):

                              No more resolutions, just change.

It didn't work out so well. Maybe next year.

                              Things I want to change:

                              Eating habits
                              Sleeping habits
                              Cleaning habits (or lack thereof)
                              Cook actual food more often
I don't go in for ancient wisdom
I don't believe just 'cause ideas are tenacious
