    HAH!

On the flipside, I dont usually make resolutions b/c as Raps said....Im awesome.

However, I am making some and I need to keep them:

    *Sell my home*
    *Move to Florida
*and the dreaded, common one: Lose Weight, but I really need to.

    Its going to happen kids!

    Woooo

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I ususally don't make any because I knew I'd never keep them... but the last 4 months have been a change in my life, so I feel like I'll be able to this year.

      1. Continue doing awesome in school. Made the Dean's List now going for the President's List.

      2. Continue to lose weight. I dropped 15lbs in the last 3-4 months, I'm going to continue.

      3. Cut back to one regular soda a day. I've done it before, so I know I can do it. It'll help with the weight loss.

      4. Refuse to allow myself to cancel or reschedule my gallbladder surgery, I need to have it done. The Dr. scared me though

      5. Continue to eliminate stress from my life. I feel better than I've felt in years, I don't want to downward spiral again.

      6. Come out of lurkdome more often. LOL

I need to get organized in a few areas.

I want to make a weekly meal plan.
        weekly cleaning schedule.
Project /learning time to teach my kids 3, and 4
        exercise schedule.

I really need to overcome all the side effects I'm suffering from having the Mirena IUD. It's been out since april but I've still got a lot of lasting side effects that are harder to overcome than I thought. One that frustrates me the most is I was only 10 lbs to my pre preggo weight before the mirena and now I'm like 45. sigh.
But I have plans in place this year so hopefully it works out!
It's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care. -Office space

Lose weight (I need to lose 100 pounds, but even a small weight loss will help).

          Exercise more.

          Clean apt more frequently.

Now that I have a steady M-F schedule, I'll also be able to do more things like church and SCA, so improving my social life is another goal.

Eventually I want a house instead of an apartment, too.

          Work on my writing.

            My resolutions:

Learn more Spanish (typical resolution, rarely goes anywhere).
Learn how to make sushi rice, so I can make sushi and not just sashimi (typical resolution, rarely goes anywhere).
Take culinary classes so I can learn more about cooking.
By my birthday in June, lose the excess fat and gain some muscle....don't care about the number of my weight, so long as I look better, am in better shape, and fit into the pants that I don't fit into now but that I did fit into for 15+ years.
Get a new computer, probably a laptop.
            Screw over a large corporation.
Kill someone who pisses me off.
            Get justice for TD.
Watch my Raiders kick some ass.
Watch my Sun Devils kick some ass.
Watch my Suns kick some ass. (Bought a Nash jersey today!)
            Learn more about cooking/wine/beer/rum.
Get laid. I have been very off on this process, and need to get back on the ball, so to speak.
Get home more often. (Will be there in 18 days, so off to a good start.)
            Get a laptop.
Win a chili cookoff. (My 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finishes are haunting me.)
Punch someone who really deserves it right in the face. Preferably outside of work so I don't get fired for it.
See my friend Little Red find a boy toy that is not a douchebag idiot asshole like the last 94789734982379482374923 that she has dealt with.
Hear my special needs niece say my name. Just realized that she never has. :-(
Talk to my stepsister, who's been in a coma for several weeks. She needs to wake up. Everything else can take a flying leap if it has to for this to happen. I would kill all of you for this to happen (nothing personal). I need to have wings and beer with my superfreak stepsister again, and everything else be damned.
Sleep with a Canadian. (You know who you are.)
Clean my damn room! (It really is bad.)
Learn how to juggle knives. Sharp knives.
Learn how to juggle women. Sharp women.
Finally find a woman that makes me forget The Brit (highly unlikely).

So I resolve to not drink during 2011! Wish me luck
No. I won't do that. I believe in drinking, and I wish more people would drink more. So I hope you fail in this.

Me, I pledge to drink MORE.

            1. I still can't believe you're a WIFE.

            2. I am thinking of getting my FIRST tattoo when I go home to Phoenix in 18 days!

              My turn:

Join a gym. I'm sick of having scrawny arms and shoulders. Time to put some muscle on this skeleton of mine. Besides, jogging isn't all that practical in the winter, especially since I don't like cold

Go skiing. I've only done it once when I was very small, and I've been telling myself to try it out again. But again that's odd since I don't like cold...

Pay off one of my college debts. Aiming for 10 grand, it's doable.

Stop being lazy on my off-days. An unfortunate habit I've picked up, and I'm going to kick it. Some laziness is ok, but life's too short to laze all the time.

                My turn:

                Join a gym.
I've been contemplating this. I have a gym at work but it's just a room full of machines. There's no one to help make sure you are using them properly or anything else.

I get a discount through my company at New York Sports Clubs, which would be convenient enough on my way home from work, or there's a YMCA that opened a year or so ago near me (last I looked into it they had a waiting list, though, and I imagine January is a prime time for people looking for memberships). At least at a real gym I'd have access to trainers and classes and stuff. Have to decide if I want to spend the money or just work on disciplining myself better.

This year is about being happy. To that end I resolve to:

                  1- eat more ice cream

2- play with my cat more

3- get my craft room set up and do even more crafty stuff

4- limit the amount of stuff I take on and thus reduce my stress

5- (this last one might be a bit TMI) have more sex with my hubby!
                  Don't wanna; not gonna.

My own resolution is to stop underestimating the amount of yarn I need to finsih my crochet projects.

Twice in 2010 I've had to scrounge the internet for discontinued yarn to finish up a blanket.

And while I'm on the topic of blankets, it's considered appropriate to give them at the birth of the recipient and not 9 months later because I let things slide.

Yeah, I want to lose some weight as well. I only need to drop 30 lbs and I can go as Red Sonja, and gosh darnit I want to! Lord knows my hair is nearly long enough now.

Clean out the sewing room and organize it. Again. Things could die in there and never be found. Cleaning out includes making something(s) out of all that fabric. I have a 10x12 room filled with shelves filled with fabric, and half of a 14x18 room. It sure looks pretty, but it's not fulfilling its purpose in life.

Balance my blood sugar (low) by eating better. That will contribute greatly to losing the rather substantial extra weight my aging knees have to bear, and lower my blood pressure.

Squash the wretched habit I have of not quite completing projects and then letting them sit around. I guess that's two habits.

Try - try - to get all my bills current. This new job might just make that possible this year.

I will better myself everyday, learning something I never knew before.
I will continue to treat others as good, if not better, then I want to be treated myself.
I will try to become less of a hermit..this will be the hardest to keep
I will continue to be as honest as possible, even though it causes the dreaded foot in mouth disease.
Most importantly..I will continue to have an open mind
Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. She is my Silver Dragon, shining as bright as the sun. I her Black Dragon (though good honestly), dark as night..fierce and strong.

Get in good shape. I could stand to drop about 10-20lbs at most, but this is more urgent because I may need to be hiking and climbing for a big chunk of this summer, if certain plans work out. I don't want my recent laziness to cost me that.

I'm also going to try to stop playing at being a responsible adult and actually be one. I feel like I'm doing some things half-assed right now just because I've been able to slide by, but if I don't cut it out, that'll bite me in the butt soon enough. For example, I've been lucky enough to just have work find me, but I can't count on that forever. Part of this I've already started - I've been working on a new website this weekend to make my portfolio more professional, and am throwing myself back into job hunting again.
