  • Ever see a Wet Mytical? (short)

Went out shopping (this time not to Wally World, but a gas station), but not sure if this is an official sighting..because even though it happened at a store..it was not directed to any of the workers..but me.

Everything getting in, getting my things, etc went fine. Was on my way out. Now the reason I was shopping there (besides putting fuel in my vehicle) was at the time it was one of the few places open (new years eve..late). Anyhow, on the way out..me being me .. I held the door open for somebody. Unfortunately I guess this made me Attila the Hun or something. Now I can't spell what she actually called me (spelling is not my strong suite) so I will paraphrase.

The woman literally screeched at me "I don't need a male pig to open the doors for me!" and the next thing I knew I was covered in her drink. Whatever it is was cold, but hey at least no ice!

I just stood there a moment, wet, with a look on my face. My faith in humanity is normally pretty good, but it died a little.
Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. She is my Silver Dragon, shining as bright as the sun. I her Black Dragon (though good honestly), dark as night..fierce and strong.

Well this male pig would have made sure she was spending her New Years Eve party in the holding cell.

Why do some females act this way? I would be happy & thankful if someone did this for me. Guess some people want to act like idiots.

That was SO rude! Ugh, you didn't deserve that at all.

Technically, I believe that is assault...

I don't get it either, and I am female. If someone holds the door for me, I say "thank you." If I see someone coming up behind me, I will hold the door for them and hope that they say "thank you." If they don't, I will consider them somewhat rude, but I will simply shrug and go on with my day.

I'm so sorry for them treating you like that. I would be grateful if someone opened a door for me, heck even my husband doesn't complain if someone holds a door for him.

What a bitch. I agree with BookstoreEscapee, what she did to you could be considered assault. Did anyone else see it?

Karma will get her, and hopefully soon. She'll be standing there with an armload of packages and she's nearly at the door...and it slams shut in her face, sending her on her arse and packages everywhere.

What a raging bitch! I consider myself a feminist, and it does me no harm at all if a guy holds a door for me! But then again, I've held doors for lots of people myself, male and female.

i don't know if its the area you live in or what, but WHEN has it been acceptable for a woman, OR man or anyone to think its ok to let someone treat them like crap or not be kind.
So by her book being a gentleman or kind person is wrong and she deserves to be treated horrible? Would make suggestions but its wrong to promote violence towards anyone here...*seething*

Its not wrong to let someone help you or accept a nice gesture and you are not obligated to be kind in return HOWEVER its the right thing to do. I guess not....rant rant

Maybe its time to invest in water proof clothing or a raincoat when going out anywhere as I know you won't stop being nice.

He or she who reaches the door first holds it for the next person, if they are close enough.

He or she for whom a door is held shall take over holding the door if another person is close to the door.

He or she who is near a door when someone with packages/a walker/in a wheelchair/with a baby approaches; shall open the door for the other person.

Etc etc. Common sense shall apply to all above rules.

                              3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
