Boo, I don't get to go skiing.

I'm leaving for 5 days to go to Vermont with about 10 people, including the boyfriend. Was really excited to learn how to ski and I actually asked about ski gear on here a while ago. Unfortunately um.. yeah. I kind of had a medical thing come up last minute and now I can't bend one of my knees very well, so I'll be sitting in the house alone during the day. Boo! Not how I wanted to spend my birthday weekend. I'm still going though just because it means I get to spend 5 nights with the boyfriend.

I'm going to see if I can get a lot of new artwork done while I'm gone, at least. =) Anyone have any requests? Random, I know, but if I see it before I leave, maybe I'll doodle you something. Goodness only knows I'll have the time~

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I know you were looking forward to the trip.

Instead of staying in the house, hang out in the lodge. It'll be warm (most of them have fireplaces and comfy chairs), you can bring your own food/drink and just buy the occasional hot cocoa, and you can doodle the activity going on around you.

Tempting... but the house has a hot tub, so I may alternate days.

My favorite bird is the Red-Tailed Hawk, but I love Merlins, Eurasian Eagle Owls, Golden Eagles, and Harris Hawks.
