My niece will be joining the Navy in July. I am very proud of her. I offer my love and support to her, your brother, and all of our brave men and women serving in the military.

            Hugs and good thoughts.

Friend of mine got shipped out there last month too. Here's hoping they both keep safe.

Of course I'll pray for him.

Was in your shoes, in a matter of speaking. My husband is military and we were married in june of last year BECAUSE of him supposed to be going to Afgan.

All the soldiers going to and coming back are always in my thoughts and prayers. I will just make sure to add in a few more words for yours.

Keep your spirits up. He will need you to be ok more so than you realize.
I can only please one person a day, today isn't your day, and tomorrow doesn't look good either.

I have the greatest respect for our men and women in uniform. They don't get to pick the fights, but they have to fight them just the same.

Tell him I said "thank you" and I'll keep him in my prayers.

Him and your family will be in my thoughts.

I heard from my daughter today. YEAH!
She's made it to Kandahar on her way home for her mid-deployment 2 weeks of leave. She should be home by this weekend.

Pray he comes home safely (interesting / fascinating stories are a plus, though!)
I just want him to come home safe and alive. His safety/happiness is more important to me than stories.

I can't even begin to imagine what-all he, my SIL and nephew must be feeling about all this...

The men and women in uniform have nothing but respect from me. I may not always agree with the war..or such..but that has nothing to do with them. I hope they come back safe.

Safety is first, but stories are a nice bonus. Even stories of helping children, building schools, helping people, etc..

Mind if you give us his info (email, shipping address)?

Anyone else who knows of someone deployed can add, too.

Praying for him and for the others that are loved ones to the forum members here. I don't have a family member over there, but one of my students I taught when he was a little kid is grown up and deployed there now. I'm proud of him, but it's hard knowing he's over there and I think of his mother and siblings a lot. His sister was one of my best friends in HS. It affects us all on some level whether we admit to it or not.

If you like PM me his name, I will add him to my list of people to ask for protection of, then he might run into my two brothers there, never know.
