Who here does it? Any interesting projects going? I've started again and am working on a baby blanket in very plush, chunky yarn. I did 3 strips of half-double, worked on one side only. I am going to do a middle panel of basketweave and maybe some strips with shells. All the panels will be sewn together. I'd love to make a thread openwork top for summer. I loooooooove the designs in Kristin Omdahl's Crochet So Fine, but can't afford the book 'til spring.

My Mom and I crochet. Mom is making a bunch of granny squares for a blanket and I have a couple of projects going.

I've been doing bead ropes. You string all the beads on the thred and either slip stitch or single crochet them in a cylander one bead at a time. It takes about 5 to 10 inches of beads for each inch of rope. They make a nice necklace.

Crocheted Cogs for some friends of mine.

I'm currently knitting socks (from 'Socks Soar on Two Circular Needles), as well as trying to finish one embroidery project, one cross stitch project, and an extended braid.

            I crochet, but nothing exciting.
I use a very large hook and several strands of reclaimed wool (from old knitting or charity shops etc) & just keep going til I have a large thick blanket
Its more for hand exercise than anything, don't think I could manage with small hooks and fancy stuff any more.

I was wondering what to do with them until I saw a post on here somewhere that suggested giving them to an animal charity for dog blankets. Think my next ones are now going to be smaller & more manageable rather than the huge double bed size I've been doing

i both knit and crochet, but i'm right now, i'm knit-obsessed. i'm in the middle of making a gigantic pillow cover, about to start a double sided scarf for my brother, and i've promised a friend of mind a smoking jacket for like...the past 3 christmases.
the last thing i crocheted was...a monkey from my step-daughter.

I crochet - mostly scarves or blankets. I'm currently learning tunisian crochet.

I've crocheted for years. Been kind of out of it for a while, but I want to pick it back up. Now that I finally found where the yarn disappeared to, I have a blanket that needs finishing. I've done a lot of different patterns for baby blankets and full sized afghans. One of the most interesting was a large white blanket made mostly out of single crochets with yarn cross stitch patterns on top, all done with a yarn needle. That was fun and my mom loved it when I gave it to her.

I crochet. I started out with lacework to build up my fine hand-eye control for labwork (steady/reliable hands are a must when dissecting embryonic caterpillars).

Later I moved on to yarn when my friends started having babies. Right now I have two baby blankets in production with a third in the planning stage.

I also crochet chokers in black thread with dichroic glass beads. I've sold one or two of them at conventions and one day might have time for an Etsy shop.

I do mostly filet crochet and doilies.

Right now I'm working on bedroom curtains.

I'd love to try filet crochet but i'm not that confident with such fine work

I don't know about that. I am doing a project with giant yarn and hook (so the project will go faster). I've found finer=easier.
